Mac & Cheese is the perfect dish for large gatherings. For game nights, family dinners or any occasion, this dish is ooey, gooey and has often been described as the best Mac & Cheese a person has ever had. Make it ahead of time, load up your Titan Cooler or Arctic Zone Casserole Carrier and let the Mac & Cheese steal the show.
Total Time: 1 hour Yields: 9-12 servings
Ingredients
- 1 stick of butter
- 1/4 cup our
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp of hot sauce
- 3 cups of milk
- 16 oz Velveeta cheese
- 1 lb box of noodles
- 8 oz Gouda, shredded
- 8 oz mozzarella, shredded
- 8 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package directions
- In a separate pot, melt down butter and whisk in flour
- Add in seasoning and hot sauce, stirring in to mix
- Pour in 2 cups of milk and add in Velveeta cheese, stirring until it melts
- Into an oven safe baking dish, pour 1lb of parboiled noodles
- Add 1 cup of each: Gouda, mozzarella, cheddar cheese and 1 cup of milk to the noodles
- Pour melted Velveeta cheese mixture over the noodles, mixing well and topping with more shredded cheese
- Bake mac and cheese at 350° for 30 mins or until the cheese on top is melted
- Let the dish cool and enjoy
Pro Tip: Make this mac and cheese ahead of time and cover the baking dish with a lid or foil, instead of placing it in the oven.
