This Buffalo Chicken Salad is creamy, tangy, and packed with shredded chicken, crunchy celery, red onion, blue cheese, and plenty of buffalo flavor. Ingredients
BUFFALO CHICKEN SALAD
- 3 large cooked chicken breasts, shredded
- 3/4 cup celery, diced
- 1/2 red onion, finely diced
- 4 oz blue cheese crumbles
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
FOR SERVING
- Toasted bread
- Croissants
- Flour tortillas
- Crackers
- Fresh vegetables
- Buffalo sauce, for topping
- Blue cheese crumbles, for topping
Instructions
- Shred the cooked and completely cooled chicken breasts into small, bite-size pieces, then add them to a large mixing bowl.
- Add the diced celery, red onion, and blue cheese crumbles to the shredded chicken. Gently toss everything together until the ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the chicken.
- Add the mayonnaise, buffalo sauce, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until the chicken and vegetables are completely coated in the creamy buffalo mixture.
- Taste the Buffalo Chicken Salad and adjust as needed. Add another splash of buffalo sauce if you want more heat or a little extra mayonnaise for an even creamier consistency.
- Cover the chicken salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This gives the flavors time to come together while keeping everything cold and creamy.
