If you’ve been to Florida, you know it gets hot, no matter the time of year.
Our mild winter is officially starting to fade to be replaced with warm spring days. While I personally love the sunshine and warmth, it definitely changes how we plan for outdoor adventures!
Gone are the days when we can head out with one bottle of water and be set for a few hours! Not only is it too hot to only have one bottle, but that bottle will be quite warm after an hour outside.
Last weekend, the weather was particularly beautiful here in Orlando, so we decided to pack up and head out to our local park. Our dog, Frankie, is obsessed with being outside (just like me!), so of course we brought him along too.
We are lucky to have an awesome park just down the road from us. Even though it’s less than a mile away, being outside for more than 10 minutes means you’ll need cold water to stay hydrated.
Luckily, we just got our Titan Backpack Cooler in the mail, which made for the perfect park picnic accessory!
This soft sided cooler is amazing for adventuring outside, from hitting your local park to relaxing on the beach. Not only does it fit up to 24 cans, but it lightweight has multiple storage pockets on the front and sides.
This means the cooler can replace both your backpack and your cooler! There is nothing worse than lugging a heavy cooler by hand AND a backpack on your back. This Titan cooler solves that problem!
Plus, it’s so comfy!! The straps are nice and padded, so you will honestly forget you have it on.
We filled up the cooler with water (both for us and Frankie), a few sodas, some snacks, and plenty of ice! The cooler even comes with a diagram on how to properly pack it to maximize ice retention. How great is that?
We didn’t even come close to filling up the cooler for our park day. You could easily fit a whole day’s worth of drinks, lunch, and snacks in this cooler!
In addition to the main compartment, the cooler has plenty of extra storage. On the sides, we easily fit our quick-dry park blanket and a portable speaker. In addition, we were able to pack Frankie’s Chuck-It and orange ball, his favorite toy in the entire world.
The side pockets are nice and stretchy. They could easily fit a water bottle, an umbrella, or anything else you might need to bring out on your next outdoor adventure!
There is also a large front pocket that perfectly fit Frankie’s water bowl, our wallet, and house keys. Thanks to all the storage, we didn’t need to bring another bag with us to the park, which is a huge perk!
Once the cooler was packed, we headed out to enjoy the beautiful Florida day! Our walk to the park from our house is quite short, but we would’ve been comfortable for a while with the backpack cooler! It’s so much more comfortable and convenient than carrying a traditional cooler where you have to do that awkward walk.
Naturally, all Frankie cared about was his ball, and was staring at the backpack the entire time!
We visited Cypress Grove Park, which just recently opened a dog park! This is one of several dog parks in Orlando. Luckily, Orlando is a very dog friendly town, which we love!
Before we went into the dog park, we took a quick walking break in the main section of the park. Of course, Frankie just wanted his ball, so we let him chew on that while we unpacked.
Surprisingly, the park was pretty empty, so we had plenty of room to stretch out. After laying out the blanket, we unpacked our cooler and enjoyed our snacks! We also gave Frankie some water to hydrate a bit before going to the dog park.
Not surprisingly, the ice in the cooler was still completely solid and kept everything extremely cold.
After finishing our snacks, we headed into the dog park. As I mentioned, this portion of the park is brand new! There are two sides to the dog park, one for small dogs and one for large dogs.
Although Frankie goes on the large dog side, sometimes I think he wishes he could go on the small dog side! He loves playing with little dogs and spends most of his time running up and down the fence of the small dog park.
The dog park has plenty of benches, a water fountain, and lots of shade. Frankie loves playing fetch with his orange ball, and the dog park has plenty of space for him to run!
After he was thoroughly exhausted, we gave him some more water from the cooler while we enjoyed our ice cold La Croixs before heading out.
While most people dread the trek home with a cooler, it was easy with our Titan backpack cooler!
After arriving back at the house, we left the cooler on the counter for a few hours while we did some chores. When we got around to putting things away, we were surprised to find plenty of ice still in the cooler, no leaking on the counter, and drinks that were still ice cold!
We love our Titan Backpack Cooler and can’t wait to take it on more Florida adventures this summer! It passed all our tests and is made for those who want to #GoBeyond!
