If you ask me, tender, fall apart ribs are the only way to cook ribs. They’re smokey, saucy and one of the best bites in BBQ. This recipe will impress your friends and family, and is easy to double or triple to feed a crowd.
Total Time: 5 hours Yields: 2-4 servings
Ingredients
- Slab of ribs (spare ribs or baby back ribs)
- 3 tbsps bbq rub
- Heavy duty tin foil
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup bbq sauce
Instructions
- Using your ribs of choice (spare or baby back), season them liberally with your favorite bbq rub.
- Place them on the smoker at 250° F for 2.5-3 hours until the bark sets.
- Once you have a good bark, remove the ribs from the smoker and wrap tightly in heavy duty foil with 1/2 stick of butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 cup of your favorite bbq sauce.
- Place it back on the smoker for 2 hours or until tender (internal temperature around 205° or by feel).
- Once ribs are done, rest them in your Titan cooler of choice. I use the 48 Can Zipperless™ Cooler because I can remove the insert and easily clean any drippings ahead of my next use.
- Let the ribs rest for 30 minutes, before serving.
Enjoy!
